Can You Shower With Your Crystal Bracelet? Water & Care Rules

Learn which crystals can handle water and which will get damaged. Plus, how to keep your bracelet safe from chemicals.
Crystals come from the earth, so a little water seems fine, right? Well, the real danger isn’t the water—it’s the chemicals and physical wear. To keep your custom bracelet looking fresh, here’s the lowdown.
Always Take It Off (The No-Go List)
1.Showering/Bathing: Soap, shampoo, and hot water break down the elastic string over time and can dull the stone’s surface.
2.Swimming (Pool/Ocean): Chlorine and saltwater are extremely corrosive. They can damage both the crystals and any metal accents.
3.Applying Lotion/Perfume: Harsh chemicals can erode delicate stones and cloud their shine.
It’s Okay (With Caution)
Quick Rinse: If you’re cleansing your stone (like Clear Quartz or Amethyst), a brief rinse under running water is fine, but dry it immediately.
Hand Washing: A few splashes are okay, but avoid soaking it.
Special Notes for Your Crystals:
Silver Sheen Obsidian: It’s strong but brittle. A drop on a hard shower floor can cause it to chip or crack.
Aquamarine: Despite its watery name, avoid extreme temperature changes (like hot tubs), which can cause internal stress.
The Golden Habit: Treat your bracelet like fine jewelry. Take it off before you wash up, and put it back on when your hands are dry. This simple step will make it last for years.
